The Francesca Rava Foundation - NPH Italia Onlus and its projects.

For more than 20 years, the Francesca Rava Foundation has been working alongside children and adolescents who need help in Italy and internationally.

National Commitment

In Italy, the Rava Foundation offers health and educational projects to support family homes and mother-and-child communities. In addition, together with KPMG, it has set up the “Ninna Ho” project which intervenes in situations of neonatal abandonment and infanticide with a network of hospitals that can accommodate newborns and mothers in difficulty. The Rava Foundation has also been able to rebuild 8 schools in areas of Central Italy hit by the earthquake.
During the Covid-19 emergency, the Foundation supported 30 hospitals across the country by sending medical equipment and health volunteers, as well as setting up safe birth paths in the maternity wards.
Finally, through the "Sos Spesa" program, the Rava Foundation distributed various types of food, PPE and homeschooling tools to 50,000 people, including family homes and families in critical conditions.

Commitment in Haiti
In this country, every day hundreds of children die because of problems related to malnutrition and curable diseases, moreover one out of 4 children does not go to school. The NPH Saint Damien pediatric hospital, the only one of its kind in the area, built and supported by the Rava Foundation, assists 80,000 children every year and promotes staff training through to twinning with Italian hospitals of excellence. Saint Damien has been dealing with the Covid-19 emergency for over a year and last August it also faced the earthquake emergency.

"In Farmacia per i Bambini" is an initiative of the Francesca Rava Foundation to collect medicines and products for children in health poverty.

In Farmacia per i Bambini (In the Pharmacy for Children) is a national initiative of the Francesca Rava Foundation - NPH Italia Onlus to raise awareness on the rights of the youngest and to collect medicines for children in health poverty.

Once again this year, the Francesca Rava Foundation worked alongside over 2,000 Italian pharmacies in the solidarity collection of medicines and pediatric products for children and families in need. 4,300 volunteers and pharmacists participated in the initiative, supported by a network of almost 50 partner companies (including Farmaka) to help over 43,000 children and their families. The Foundation also organized several webinars on children's health in the pandemic, including 3 on Mental Health with a pharmacist training project.
